    Hi Jo

    1) If you choose to shuffle, the entire queue is shuffled but it will autofill songs from the album you selected.

    2) Yes we support over 200,000 songs. We recommend your album art is less than 600kb in size as excessively large album artwork is the largest part of memory usage.

    3) Check this out; https://support.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/216863587 or visit www.bluesound.com/stores for a demo near you

Thanks Tony. The system looks well-designed and matches my use case. Due to the Sonos 64,000 track limit, I'm force to re-index whenever I switch libraries.

Any chance of implementing album shuffle? It would essentially be a function that randomly chooses an item from the library's album list rather than a track from the queue. It would serve listeners who still prefer their local music collections (ripped CDs) rather than streaming services (individual tracks).

    Hi Jo

As always, I have forwarded your feed back to our development team for future consideration.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

    Hi Tony,

Following up on the album shuffle request. This has been requested for years now by various people, and the answer was always that it will be forwarded to the development team. Apparently it does not have a high enough priority. For people with their own NAS collection this option would be great to have, and i would like to ask you again to make the request to the development team. Is there anything else we can do to get this higher on the priority list?

    Best,

    Herman

I have an Android car deck and I run an app called GoneMAD Music Player. It uses a play queue and can be set for album shuffle. From the library I select one or more tracks for the queue and once that's played through, it automatically gets replaced with a set of tracks from another random album. Once the last lack of that play queue is completed, it selects another album, etc. If Bluesound could implement album shuffle like this, I would replace my Sonos system immediately.

    Hi Herman

We review and re-review everything. Priorities and Partnership deals (such as Integration and Music Services) are a big part of this. Security concerns also take up time... You can also now guess why as a general rule we do not publish Road Map timelines until we are 110% sure we are going to release a feature and it is already in the can.

All that being said, we do understand Playlist Management and Shuffle Features are very important items to our most loyal consumers who are music curators (like myself... ). This has not fallen off the table but we want to make sure we get it right...

Thanks for your patience and for #LivingHiFi.

    Hello,

Here you have one more requesting Album Shuffle - it was not a nice surprise to me when I shifted to Bluesound to find out that is was missing. Please...

And another request for album shuffle. Do you have an idea of how many people use a bluesound system with their own album collection? I like bluesound a lot, and enabling album shuffle would let me and many others enjoy their collection even more, especially if you have a large collection Andy don’t even know all the things you have.
If you can implement things like lip syncing tools, as in the last version, why not implement something relatively simple (I guess) like album shuffling?

Any update to this feature request? I'm still using my Sonos system but album shuffle would make me switch to Bluesound.
