room based speaker placement and calibration

If not already, mentioned ... it may be useful to provide a per room speaker setup and calibration function. (similar to what sonos seems to offer).

i.e. walking around the room with the smartphone using it's microphone and smarts in the app to set up both the ideal speaker placement in that room for one or more speakers and/or the speaker's' eq for speakers in that room for ideal listening.

Not sure whether this sort of thing is a gimic or really useful, but i do know that avr's are designed to do some kined of speaker/room calibration so there must be some kind of wisdom to it.

Thoughts?

  Hi Mat

  DIRAC is now available on our sister brand NAD Electronics' AVR systems using the BluOS Expansion kit for the 4K MDC card.

  We have no immediate plans to expand this to Bluesound... but never say never.

  That would be a great feature to add esp when using a soundbar, subwoofer, and surround speakers from your product line similar to how Sonos does it.  Keep us posted please.
