    Hi Matt

We do not support recording content. The only way to store music on a VAULT is by ripping CDs.

Tony, I'm considering purchasing the Vault 2 and am confused by your response to Matt's question. To quote the review on the AudioStream website from 4/21/16, "

There are a numbers of ways to get music into the Vault. You can attach to it from your computer and drag and drop (the Vault 2 shows up as shared storage on your network), attach USB storage directly to the Vault and copy your files over, and download purchases from HDtracks, Qobuz, and HIGHRESAUDIO from within the BluOS app. Nice."

So other than ripping CDs, is the above statement not true?
    Thanks,
    Terry

    Hi Terry

Sorry for confusion. Yes the VAULT acts as a NAS. I meant the only way to generate new content on a VAULT is by ripping.

After all, I wrote this Help Center Article (quite a while ago now); https://support.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/200387457

You can also download directly from HighResAudio and HDTracks directly - Qobuz however is stream only.

Tony, thanks for the clarification. That's what I thought and I read your Help Center Article which was well written.

    Thanks

    Terry
