    Hi Dries

    Thanks for your feedback.

We currently do not support a document model of Playlist curation. We have investigated it a few times but is a considerable rewrite to implement.

That being said, we continue to review items like this and see how we can bring them to light.

Having our loyal consumers weigh in helps us decide if major development issues do have value and immediate returns when considering them.

As always, thanks for the suggestions and for #LivingHiFi.

I'm finding myself in the same place as Dries.

It's ridiculous not being able to manage playlists through the app, or desktop controller.  I spent a while adding songs to playlists, and then - for some unknown reason - the playlist now has some albums in it that I *didn't* add.  They appear to have been added to the playlist because I played them...

Now they're in the playlist, I can't find a way to remove them from the list, so the playlist is now ruined, and I can't do anything about it other than delete it and start again.

I think you need to change the product owner for your UI development and reconsider the product backlog.  Playlist management should be right up there.  If handling playlists means a major re-write then you have a serious technical debt problem, which should be addressed sooner rather than later.

Even if we could import and export playlists, and use a text editor to mange them, it'd be better than what we have.

Does anyone actually *use* the software they write?  The guys that wrote the Crestron integration module clearly didn't...

  • Hi Oliver

Thanks for the feedback, I will be mentioning it during our regular progress meetings with Quality Assurance and Engineering - Yes, once the song is played, it is accepted to the current Playlist. You can load the Playlist and edit it then re-save it.

I have a large playlist in Deezer and want the newest added on top of the list,
And not at the bottom. Is this possible in Bluesound controller?

    Regards Harry

    Hi Harry

Press the context menu to the right of the song and select Play Next. That will not put at the top but will put it at the current position of the queue. If you are at the top of the queue that should work.

Thanks Tony, but I don't see Play Next anywhere next to a track

Press 3he 3 dots to the right of the song and this will open the context menu where Play Now is located.

    Hi Harry

Sorry about that... right click the song to see the context menu (Ctrl Click for any Mac Users following along).

I'm weighing in - not having a playlist edit capability, if this is what I believe is being asked (and I'm asking for) - is just bad product planning, c'mon.  I'm trying to figure this out as well and how I came across this Post.  I'm super-voting for having this capability, I think it's pretty basic.

Not being able to do a simple edit on a playlist is disheartening.  When someone asks about the vault 2, it's:  "Sounds good, but...."  Please reconsider this important aspect.

This is also for me a major missing functionality of the Bluos control system.

I agree with the above request: please consider this important aspect.
