    Thanks for the response Matt. This would be an awesome update if you can provide it.

    Hi again,

    Can someone from Bluesound confirm whether or not they are working to add PEQ filters to BluOS, or is it graphic EQ (or similar) that is considered?

    Don’t need a timeline, just what is actually on the table :)

    Thank’s

    Hi nygafre,

    Matt S. (product manager) mentioned higher in this thread that "Definition of a Fletcher-Munson feature and conversations about how we'll be able to implement any additional EQ are happening now. I don't have an exact timeframe but thought I'd update here".

    To my knowledge was the first mention of Bluesound actually discussing the topic for years (or ever) and no new communication has been made since. Can't conclude from that they are or will do anything anytime but at least the topic is not totally ignored anymore. Let's see

    @JG.B

    Thank’s! Also aware of the previous post from Matt, but I wanted to know what specific type of EQ they are planning/working on implementing.

    Cheers

    Many thanks Matt!

    Fully agree with nygafre: 6-10 bands PEQ would be awesome and equalization normalisation/Fletcher-Munson feature should come next.

    Would make a HUGE difference in sound given room is by far what influence it the most (proven by science, listening and all serious sources, that is so true that AVRs are sometimes recommended for music listening given they include room correction where so-called Hi-Fi equipment do not) and therefore a HUGE difference to Bluesound's value proposition vs. Sonos, WiiM and the like.

    Yeah, I think you're right JB. But apart from the different company type, I think WiiM are also working with different margins and are clearly selling really good hardware at a lower price point. The DAC in the WiiM Pro Plus is better than the Powernode for example.

    Hi again,
    Any news on the direction/development of the EQ implementation? Would be great with a status.

    Cheers,

    Thanks - you learn something every day. As you say, there's always someone with an iPhone in the house! Will wait and see what happens in '23. Happy New Year to all on this forum!

    Total of 70 votes and 137 comments to date for that feature (incl. recent "FLETCHER MUNSON CORRECTION" post from Mark Borg and similar "FLETCHER MUNSON LOUDNESS CURVE" from Andrew Koltek) but Mark T. has clearly answered in the latter that it is not and likely will not be in Bluesound plans anytime soon.

    Deceptive but at least clear answer

    They could offer a limited EQ like MusiCast has (High, Mid, Low).

    I just bought the Powernode N330 from eBay and have the WiiM Amplifier on preoder. I'm keen to hear the difference out of the box. I'm also keen to know how to use the PEQ on the WiiM with room correction software and a mic to see what difference it makes. What is the best mic and software to use for a dummy with no clue like me?

    Either way, I'm not confident that the Bluesound can compete with the WiiM after room correction, which potentially spells the end for the likes of Bluesound and NAD unless they react with a firmware update.

    Just a follow up to this conversation.  I just received the Bluesound Powernode N330 today and hooked it up to my Kef LS50 Meta and Kef KC62 sub.  The BluOS App allows me to enable the Subwoofer setting and then adjust a single parameterised crossover setting.  However, this presumably just sets the high pass and low pass at this exact same cross over.  Is there an option to set them differently?  Or is this where we need the parametric eq settings?

    The reason that I ask is that I'm not completely convinced by the cross over?

    I'm also assuming that Bluesound are also looking in to gain settings so that the volume of the subwoofer can be kept in line with the speakers as you adjust the volume?

    @nygafre

    No, disappointingly the KC62 doesn't have PEQ filters.  I had the SVS 3000 Micro for a while and that does.  The KC62 doesn't even connect to the Kef Connect app.  For a £1600 sub it's crazy.  So I would like something to do it for it.  Hopefully Bluesound can come up trumps but the WiiM Amplifier will be getting purchased if we hear nothing by Christmas.
