    Hi Stu

HDMI Audio Return Channel is just that... an Audio Return Channel.

When using HDMI, the audio of the TV is sent to the NODE. When you AirPlay, the audio of the iPhone or iPad is being sent to the NODE. No video is sent to the NODE, and if it were, the NODE has no video processing capabilities and HDMI is an input to the NODE and not an output.

To get your desired functionality, you would require to AIrPlay to a compatible TV or AppleTV connected to your TV, in which case video and audio is sent to the TV and the TV in turn passes the audio to the NODE.

    Thanks Tony,

This makes more sense than the wording that was alluding to being able to use the Node as a ‘Mid-Point’ rather than an ‘End Point’ for video.

Maybe they just ‘missed’ typing ‘audio from video’.

Thank you, I think I will stick with my current Wired ‘Lightning to Digital AV’ connection for ‘Video to TV’.

For interest of others……..(just to give some info back)

With my Blu-Ray I HDMI into the tv but use the COAX from the Blu-Ray Player to bypass the Blu-Ray DAC & into the BNC input on the QUTEST DAC then onto the amp.

    Thanks again.
