This is not a good idea.
We do ignore The when sorting The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. When it comes to albums or songs, The Wall or A Rush of Blood to the Head is the proper names of those albums. It is about artistic integrity. Thanks for understanding.

Sorry if I was not clear. My suggestion is to sort the titles without regard to articles, not to omit them altogether. I could not agree more about artistic integrity, which is why it should be “The Beatles” and sorted under B. The same should apply to album and song titles.

By the way, what I’m suggesting is no different than what libraries and bibliographers have done for a very long time. The purpose is to find The Wall under W, not T, which is absurd. (But not to omit “The”.)

Make it an option so that users can decide?

How about ignoring "Best Of" as well?
