NAD C700 VU meters with streaming possible ?

I know the VU meters are a gimmick.

But i still would like to have the possibility to choose it when i am streaming from say Spotify or something else.

Now i can only get them with choosing an analoge port, HDMI etc.

Is it not possible to make it work in a software update, so that you can switch between streaming information  and VU meters  ?
