MQA unfolding and USB connected DAC
AnsweredHi, when I connect my non-MQA DAC via USB will the Node still perform the MQA unfolding? I don't see the ability to untoggle the 'MQA external DAC' option that I have when using the 'default' coax and optical digital outputs.
Thanks,
Sean

This should be auto-negotiated with your DAC via USB communications. I say should as we have seen it not do so due to an error in the external DAC. If you select MQA content and it plays fine, then what you are hearing is the MQA file receives two unfolds from the NODE up to 24/96 output.
That being said - USB DAC connectivity is more designed for connecting a PC to try and improve not great DACs built into PC motherboards. If you have the option to use COAX, do it. It is a better, more native Hi-Fi experience.
