I had the same problem. Bluesound acts as if this is a first time occurrence when the they get these complaints. They offer to fix it but you pays heaps. Just go to a drugstore and buy de-naturized alcohol, use a rough cloth, wet it regularly and start to rub firm with the wet cloth. You can see when the sticky stuff comes off. Its a hard job and takes about an hour but worth while, your Vault feels smooth as baby’s bottom. You will lose the “B”logo on the front in the process but what the heck. Good luck.

    Hello,
I own three Bluesound Series 2i devices (one Node and two Vaults). All three devices had the same sticky case problem. I followed the manufacturer's recommended procedure (using isopropyl alcohol and Polytrol), which removed the sticky residue and the Bluesound logo, but left the device looking far from the hi-fi device that still sells for nearly €1,500. I must also say that I ordered a new (expensive) case and received one that was already partially sticky. The manufacturer told me that there would be no future solution to eliminate this potential defect in the Vault 2i.
All current Vault 2i products may have this potential defect.

Thank you, Bluesound. I really regret purchasing my three devices, especially since I have to hide them.
