And that’s great, BUT, being able to connect to these services WITHOUT using Bluetooth would benefit the sound quality, no? Please add these services to the app.

    Thanks,

    Martin

    Hi Tony,

I believe you answered this question with an off the cuff answer, "Just stream it with bluetooth"

Let me explain a little bit, if I can.

Between 1965 to 1995, The Grateful Dead played 2314 official shows.

Each one of these show had members of the audience recording the show with high quality microphones and recording equipment. Many were allowed to plug directly into the soundboard, not just sanctioned by the Grateful Dead but encouraged by the band. As a result we have 16,607 tape recordings! All of which are hosted, for free, by etree.org and archive.org.

Neither of which are accessible on Blue Sound devices.

To your comment, paraphrasing... "just stream it with bluetooth".

Have you heard of the "Wall Of Sound". The Grateful Dead, I am sure, were the first Band in history to focus on audio quality and much of the focus and attention regular people have today is directly related to their

Several setups have been reported for The Wall of Sound:

    1. 604 total speakers, powered by 89 300-watt solid-state and three 350-watt vacuum tube amplifiers generating a total of 26,400 watts of power.
    2. 586 JBL speakers and 54 Electro-Voice tweeters, powered by 48 600-watt McIntosh MC-2300 amplifiers generating a total of 28,800 watts of continuous (RMS) power).

just won't do! the work around is a USB/Camera adaptor from an iPhone to a mini jack to a RCA splitter to RCA connections or to a DAC then to RCA then to Preamp/Integrated amp. BUT IS THAT THE WAY WE HAVE TO DO IT, WHEN WE HAVE YOU?? Please notice you just read the Band bought 48 McIntosh AMPS!! Jerry Garcia's personal stage amplifier

Jerry Garcia's "Budman" McIntosh MC2300 Amplifier Sold for $378,000 at Sotheby's Auction

The above was posted on the McIntosh website 10/15/21.

I am sorry, Bluetooth is not going to work! Does it seem like this bands fans are invested in the music. How many millions of us are there and not one us can stream this content in High Res unless we are not using Blue Sound Equipment? I like the content on Qobuz! I don't only listen to the Grateful Dead, (17,501 items of which are available on archive.org) mostly its Jazz these days but at least once a day and sometimes until late at night, ITS THE DEAD!

When "we" all get together we Stream from the Archives, because the live shows were shared experiences, hearing someone whoop it up come over the recording and being able to remember the time, place, smell, Vibe and all the rest of the beautiful experience! Priceless. Of course, there is other content available too.

Thank you very much for reading this far, and try to understand Bluetooth is not the answer, to this.

    Regards,

    Aaron

Well, speaking as an E-Street Band fan, for consumers who want something more, you can also locate and download hi-res copies of those special recordings and collections to store on a NAS and connect them via file sharing.
