Bluesound Pulse Soundbar (Gen 1) Subwoofer Out Signal
AnsweredI have a 1st Gen Bluesound Pulse Soundbar that I want to hook up to my powered SVS sub woofer. Does anyone know what signal is sent through the subwoofer output jack of the Pulse Soundbar.? Is it the full frequency range or is it filtered to send only low frequency?

It is LFE at what ever the crossover is set to with a 1KHz rollover. The full range is broadcast out the PULSE SOUNDBAR unless you enable the SUB in audio settings. Once enabled the PULSE SOUNDBAR will stop broadcasting frequencies below what ever you set the crossover to (default is 80Hz).

Thank you for that info. I also have a question concerning the Bluesound settings toggles. Why are are there 2 Subwoofer toggles in the Bluesound settings app? I assume that both of these need to be toggled to the on position when I connect my sub. For info, the SVS subwoofer app allows me to control both the low pass frequency and the volume.

I was wondering about this too.
Now I think I’ve worked it out.
There is one toggle which is for the soundbar globally.
The other toggle is for the mode (TV, music, movie)
Thus you can have the subwoofer ON but off for TV (along with late-night or dialogue setting etc).
Doesn’t really make a lot of sense to have the global one in my opinion.
But I’d be happy to hear bluesound’s rationale on this.0
