Bluesound Node130 with USB output to Dragonfly Red popping noise

I have experienced cracking / popping noise with my Dragonfly Red when I'm using HDMI from my TV to the Node130. I switched from a Chord Mojo DAC connected with coax to USB output to the Dragonfly and have never experienced any noise before.

I assume it is the USB output that is causing the noise what would you recommend that I do to avoid the noise?
