HDMI Earc is not working!

i just bought the bluesound node 

Bluesound Node Wireless Multi-Room Hi-Res Music Streamer - Black (N130BLKUNV)

 

for the hdmi earc - does not work - no sound!!! contacted supported tried 3 different working cables.
