You might want to try resetting the audio setting using the app.  Settings… Audio… Reset All,

I did try resetting on the app but volume was still low, I have not done a master reset yet though

That would probably be my next step after leaving it unplugged for 10 mins.

I run these straight to my amp, no pre because the sound is so clean. I "could" run through a pre and set node to fixed but most preamps add their own color. Currently running into refreshed Adcom 555 IIs to Polk Audio L800s

Is there any solution to this? Because I have the same problem, output volume of my Node2i is about 50% of my other Powernodes.

J waterham, I had Crutchfield send me a new unit. Although the replacement was slightly better, it still didn't resolve the issue. Support said it is due to a different volume scaling algorithm on the newer DAC chip. Currently I adjusted the volume limits in the settings to -35db for minimum and 0db for the max. May need to experiment with that minimum setting since our systems are probably different.
