You need the port on the TV marked HDMI ARC. If this does not help please contact NAD Support at support@nadelectronics.com

Blue-ray player HDMI to TV, then HDMI from TV to C700.

Thanks for answer. This is the normal way the devices are connected here. But as I wrote: The C700 does not get ANY signal via HDMI.

My problem is not to get the blu-ray working. ;) My problem is to get the sound of TV to the C700 (with HDMI ARC to controll volume via TV remote). And I cannot get any sound via HDMI into the C700.

Most likely there are "erratic" audio output settings on your TV.
Also make sure "Auto Sense" is "On" (Settings - Player - Customize sources - HDMI ARC)

Okay. There are no settings for HDMI, The HDMI port I use is the only one that is designed for Audio IN and OUT (all others are only Audio IN).

You have looked in your TV's "Audio menu"? Make sure "external audio (or something similar)" is set to PCM.

I did have a look in the "Audio menu". And - surprise, surprise! - the HDMI ARC was set to optimal. I turned it to PCM, and it does not work either. Sorry to say.

I can see the display with two indicators at Null - not moving. Yes, the TV is on. ;)

Ich habe gestern wohl bereits eine Antwort vom NAD Support bekommen und die darin aufgeworfenen Fragen sofort beantwortet. Das Problem "hat aber noch keine Ursache" bzw. ist bis jetzt noch nicht gelöst. Mal sehen, was die nächsten Tage bringen.

Sorry, As I see, I have answered in German before.

Got answers yesterday and today from NAD support with a lot of hints and s0uggestions. Tested them all, didn't change anything. Okay, shit happens. ;)

The final advice was to contact one of the local NAD Service Centers. As I followed the link there is one in Austria. Before bothering the NAD service I will contact my local dealer where I purchased the NAD C700 (and the TV to ceónnect years before as well). We will see....
