Clipping prevention

Hi all,

Would like to know if some kind of clipping prevention exists on the Powernode?

Mine is currently connected to a Samsung LPS7T projector through HDMI and while everything is fine most of the time (not mentioning unclear/muffled voices I guess is due to lack of EQ on the Powernode), horrible loud and clipping noise occures occasionaly when switching app/channel on the projector (as if two sources or inputs where mixed) and I fear that have damaged my speakers. Is there any protection system in the Powernode to prevent this?

  Hi JG

  The pop you are hearing is content distortion caused by two factors;

  1. HDMI runs to projectors often exceed HDMI.org specifications so may require special cable consideration
  2. Source resolution changes such as DOLBY content on one channel and non-DOLBY on the next

  I am escalating your issue to our Support Crew so they can make some recommendations for you.
