Bluesound node 2i connection to ifi zen dac v2

I am struggling to connect my node 2i to a ifi zen dac v2. Using rca. I have turned on use external dac within the app but I'm not getting any sound.

  There is no turn on external DAC on the 2i but there is to enable an MQA DAC, so only turn this on if your DAC fully supports MQA.

  Are you able to test the DAC / lead with another source / lead ?
