Any conversion or change between analog input and standard RCA output?

Yes, there is a ADA conversion, it’s converted to digital to enable it to be routed to other BluOS devices.

    That's fast... Thanks.

It is good to know about the ADA conversion, 24bit/96khz I suppose. Very high quality according to my ears!

I was planning on using the analog input (and making a preset for the RC1) to save me from grabbing another remote control to change audio input on my AVR...

For those who think it's better for the soundquality of the analog input NOT to apply ADA conversion:

The ADA conversion is also necessary for the (digital) Volume adjustment, right? If the processing is done correctly there should be no audible effect. And that's exactly what my ears tell me... The rest is academic.

With the benefit of Volume adjustment I choose the easy way: One remote for controling audio from several devices. I love The Node and RC1.

ADC in Bluesound Players is in fact 24/96

Hi, I’ve read here and in other threads that analog in is converted to 24/96, but I am running my Node 2i into an external DAC via coax and my external DAC consistently indicates that the sampling rate is only 44.1kHz.

On optical it is the same: input analog -> output optical: 44.1kHz always.

If you listen to your analog input (directly, not through the Node), or through the Node or from the coax output of the Node: is there a difference?

I use analog input only for practical reasons. The source is my PC, output to Topping E30 II, so it is a very high quality audio. Playing Master audio from Tidal (max 96 kHz) I can just click on Tidal Connect to switch to the Node's internal MQA processing with even better quality. My ears tell me that both streams sound the same. This is not about comparing Topping E30 II and the Node, and not an audiophile test.  I wanted to improve my PC-audio (hdmi-audio to Denon AVR-X3200W) and have easy access to the Node. Mission accomplished!
