BluOS Playlist Size Limit?
AnsweredI've been experimenting with large playlists of several hundred tracks. Ideally I'd like to add several thousand to a playlist and set it to shuffle but it seems that larger playlists slow performance and can take a long time to load. A few times BluOS app on my Mac has crashed or otherwise misbehaved when loading large playlists.
Is there an upper limit to BluOS playlists?

Hi Braino
We have seen some issues with giant playlists our QA team has been reviewing. I have escalated your issue to our Support Crew to take a closer look.

I bought a Node recently and I thought I read that it has a 200,000 track playlist limit for Tidal. I put all of my music in playlists - 1 playlist for each artist. I load each artist’s list with virtually every track available on Tidal for that artist. Some artists will have thousands of tracks in Tidal and the number of artists I have entered is well over 1,000. This should be a good test for a large playlist.
I use the same approach with Qobuz, but not nearly as many artists or tracks per artist are available. Some artists are only available on one or the other.
I tried the same approach with Amazon HD, but it limited the number of playlists (artists in my case) to the first 100. That made no sense to me. I spent 3-4 hours discussing with Amazon several months ago, and they were unable to determine if it was their issue or Bluesound’s issue. This was on a Node 2i. I assumed that software upgrades would fix the problem. Same problem existed a few months ago, so I cancelled my Amazon HD subscription. It also took over a half hour on an iPad Pro just to update my music library every time I logged in on a mobile device. Maybe 10-15 minutes if I logged in on a fast 2019 MacBook Pro. I concluded Amazon is not competitive with large music libraries.0
