Airplay 2 and Bandcamp app playback problems
AnsweredI have recently set up a Powernode and stream from my iPhone 12 mini (iOS 16.0) in a 5GHz WLAN network. When I press play in the Bandcamp app, and sometimes even on Spotify, I experience the following problem: the music won't start playing, and in case of the Bandcamp app, the play button rapidly toggles between play/pause or a spinner, and I hear a clacking sound out of my speakers.
I found that I can get the music to play by hitting the play button in control center (not in the app itself) twice, but then the music widget displays the wrong state (i.e., a play icon while the music is playing). Furthermore, playback will stop at the end of the current song.
I believe this to be a Powernode problem as I have a second Airplay target (a teenage engineering OD-11) in the same network which does not exhibit this problem (playback starts normally). Please advise.

Hi Hotchi
Please select Help, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so our Support Crew may review the event log of the Player and help diagnose what went wrong.

I have this exact same issue. Was there any resolution to this problem?

The issue still remains through iOS 16.4 to 17.2.1, but only for Bandcamp to BluOS. Bandcamp to my other devices work fine. Perhaps this a BluOS Airplay implementation issue? Is there a ticket that describes the issue and cause?

This problem remains. Does no one have a solution?
What an irritating product the powernode is. Just waiting for the right replacement.

I have never found a solution for this. I am especially furious since the salesperson recommended the Powernode because of the "best in class" streaming stack, but the cheap Yamaha MusicCast I own swallows everything I throw at it no problem.
edit: btw after a long back and forth with support, they told me that "the bandcamp app is not supported", period.
