Bluesound RCA output clock?

For streaming Tidal, if I connect my Bluesound Node 2 to an external DAC with the RCA or Optical out, does the Bluesound node 2 RCA output use the Bluesound internal clock or the external DAC clock?  I've been told that only a output USB which the Bluesound does not have would use the external DAC clock.  But this could be mistaken.  Appreciate your input

  Hi Sal

  You should not be connecting analogue to an external DAC. You are then performing multiple conversions from Digitial to analogue back to digital and then back to analogue. When using the digital out of the NODE, you are bypassing any digital signal processing on the 24/192 DAC of your NODE.
