The play queue & playlists
BeantwortetI've had my NAD C700 for about a week now and I'm loving a lot about it, but the more I dig into BluOS, it's just a little odd how it handles playlists and playing music in general.
First, the mere fact that anything you play gets put into a giant ongoing play queue is odd. I can understand it, but I don't think most people listen to music like this, especially not people who invest money in an expensive DAC or streaming amplifier. I realize you can delete this queue so it doesn't interfere with other stuff, but I'd love some automation or controls to how it clears.
Second, I don't think it makes sense for a playlist to be added to the general play queue. This makes a lot of functions extremely difficult. Namely shuffle becomes odd when it shuffles your playlist with everything else, but also what if someone just wanted to try a playlist and then decided they didn't like it? I would separate the play queue and playlist playback.
Lastly, shuffle is a general issue. Why is there only a Play All button and not a Shuffle button before you start playback on a playlist? This is common functionality on many services and I suspect its absence has to do with how the playlist is added to the play queue. Additionally, I'd love to be able to have a shuffle setting on a Preset. That would be a huge help.
In general, there's just some strangeness to how how playback and playlists are handled that causes a lot of user friction (like needing to clear play queue, having to press shuffle after you start playblack, etc).

Where I fully agree on your request, I can also assure you, the bluesound team will quickly forward your idea to the product development team /dev/null. :)

Really??? Who marked this comment as ‚official‘? Maybe someone from the Bluesound team should check what /dev/null means ;)

Adding to the third issue: When you shuffle after adding stuff to queue, the shuffled items should appear after your currently playing track. I just shuffled 70 songs and my currently playing song was 4th from the bottom. That's pointless!
Just add a Shuffle Play mode buttton as an option next to Play.

What, this stupidity is marked as official answer? Srly? This is getting crazy now
1) read to the end
2) I will send bluesound an invoice for my service
Jesus (or whomever transcendent being you want to make responsible for what happened) , this speaks so much.
Can I have the power to mark my own posts as offical? That way you don't even have to make an effort to look in here? It's a win win! I will simply continue to promise that the quality insurance & development teams will immediately look into the issue. In other words: Nothing!1 -
+1 for Shuffle.

Are there any updates in sight already? I've past on several bugs to the developers, plus the play queue oddities. Hope this will not take months (but probably will :( )

I’d really like to know how to queue that gets made from previously played music. This queue is automatically played when my current playlist finishes. Where’s rhe “clear” button or other magic feature?
