    Hi Brett

Rest assured it is going into stand-by after 15 minutes. I have passed your feedback along to our Quality Assurance and Product Development Teams for a better experience for our user community.

Im sorry, but this is NOT TRUE !

I found a few threads regarding this problem, some are almost 1 year old !

I just tested it, dear developers, read that:

Im checking the power draw when active, it says 1.7 - 2.1 watts. TOSlink LED is ON.  I stop playing, waiting for 1 hour, NOTHING changes. Power draw and TOSlink LED is the same.

    BUT:

Turning on the TV which is connected to the Node via HDMI and using autosense, AND turning the TV off after a few seconds, the Node goes into S T A N D B Y after 30 seconds. How do i know?
Power draw drops to 1.4 - 1.7 watts, and the TOSlink LED is OFF !!! This is the ONLY time when wattage or TOSlink LED behaviour changes, so there is NO STANDBY mode whatever i do apart from turning my TV off. Pressing pause and wait for 15 minutes (or 300000 minutes) doesnt change anything.

So i proved that there is a stand by mode, and it CAN work, but it never goes into stand by when just pressing pause, stop playing music, .... , just when using your TV.

So it is a software related problem and i want you to fix it, because it exists for a very long time.

Please give me another answer than "we passed it to our developer team .... " I want a proper answer because its false advertising otherwise and i want my money back.

    Thank you.

    Hi Christopher

Thanks for the feedback. Stand By for Network Connected Devices as defined by the EU in 2017 requires products to consume no more than 3W. The EU has not updated that specification since 2017. Bluesound Players actually exceed these baseline requirements. Going even lower than 2.1W would require killing power to the network card which means it would not respond to wake-on LAN commands, Auto Sense commands via TOSlink, or CEC commands via HDMI when you wanted to use the Player from the App without physically walking up to the Player and reconnecting it to a power supply.

That being said notifying consumers when the player is in Network Stand By can be communicated better in the User Experience and what we have fed back to our Product Development Team.

If you are not seeing less than 3W stand by after 15 minutes of idle, please select Help, Send Support Request in the App so our Support Crew can better understand what is keeping the product awake by reviewing the system event log.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

    Thank you, i will do.
But as usual, thats not an answer. I posted it a few times and always the same. I was hoping i could explain the behaviour so you can understand, but unfortunately, you didnt.

There is a difference with HDMI and just pressing pause!
    Please read again.
