Thanks for the suggestion @piet-jan. Nice to see that someone takes it seriously. (Not bluesound) I hope your solution doesnt work for me as i dont wat to have a +2meter cable wedged behind my wall mounted tv 30 cm from de wall mounted soundbar;) but ill give it a go it might make troubleshooting further more logical

No problem Jim, i think the problem is on the tv side, see post from Conor. Maybe if the tv is older the slower processor could cause a faulty handshake and i hope a longer cable gives the tv more time to make a succesful handshake.
By the way following site mentioned we should use a longer cable

I have a qn95 samsung series. I suspect the sync buffer on the node is the issue. When i press pauze on the live tv sound. And un+pause again the sound is ok again. This works on my bluesound remote controll and on the bluesound app

I have the Samsung QN85A. With the longer cable I only hear the slower sound in the hub menu when start the tv. When I start the app the sound gets normal. I’ll keep giving updates

By the way. With my older soundbars (sennheiser ambeo mini and Samsung q800) i was also having earc problems with the same tv but that showed in a different way as the bluesound. With the sennheiser and the Samsung I was sometimes having no sound or lipsync issues. I never had that problem with the bluesound.

Btw. If you are only using the tv streaming apps like Netflix etc you can also just use Arc instead of earc because atmos just works fine over Arc with Netflix. With only Arc i never had slowmotion issues.

You only need earc if you play lossless atmos (Blu-Ray z, PS5 Xbox) With tv streaming apps Arc is enough.
