Two different albums with same name appearing together
BeantwortetHi,
I have ripped two different versions of La Traviata, one by Kleiber and the other by Solti.
I updated all the proper tags and album art with a Tag editor
1) I discovered that the 2 CDs of the Kleiber versions appeared at different places in the BluOS album list ; it turns out they were sorted based on the folder name and not the tags. Updating the folder name to be the same (apart from Disc 1 / Disc 2 difference was enough to have them appear together, which is strange to me as the folder name are not exactly equal. Shouldn't the tags be enough to recognize two CDs as being part of the same albym ?
2) both albums (ie all 4 CDs) have the Album Name "La Traviata". In my album list the Kleiber version does not show any Album art, and when I play a single track, it displays the art of the other album (despite the proper image being associated to each individual track). If I do a search for La Traviata, I have the album art of the Solti version showing, but with the tracks of the two albums, instead of seeing two different albums. Worse, the same happens if I do a search for Kleiber.
I checked all the files, reindexed, reloaded the artwork etc. but nothing changes.

BluOS is indexing the the "tags" in your files, not your "folder names". All will be sorted by date added to library in new section. When you updated your folder name, and indexed, BluOS (database) would remove the old entry and create a new.
If you have one or more albums with the same name, I suggest you rename one to i.e La Traviata (Kleiber), and do a full rebuild. (Help - Diagnostics - Rebuild index). Suggestion is based on experience with one (or multiple bugs) in the BluOS software/firmware. -
Thanks Bjorn,
will try that. I get the point on indexing based on tags and not folder, that is what I thought as well, but it seems clear the folder name plays a role...
