    UPDATE:

    This morning we released the BluOS App 3.16.4 for Windows and Mac to resolve issues where the App locks up and freezes when accessing details of the Local Library while restoring a previous screen at launch.

    Exactly the same problem, in the last 30 minutes I downloaded the BluOs Controller Setup 3.18.3 and installed it and broke the controller app, the endless spinning wheel and it locks up completely, I've tried reinstalling it twice and restarting several times.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this;

    • Uninstall the App in Windows control panel
    • Reboot your PC
    • Download a fresh install from our site www.blueosund.com/downloads
    • Install THAT download
    • Launch the App

    Now it will not let me share my files. I get this message "There is a problem adding this local share". Can I get the old version of the OS that worked? Thanks!

    I did the uninstall and reboot and reinstall and the problem is identical. I also would be happy with the earlier BLUOS controller, at least it worked.

    I went through the support recommended sequence of reindexing and rebuilding the index on the vault but that didn't help. It only locks up in that "Just a moment" loop when viewing the contents of an album, if I look for artists or songs, the lockup never happens and I can play anything. I just uninstalled the 3.18.3 Controller and installed 3.18.0 version that was still in my download directory and that fixes the problem.

    Hello i have the same problem on my Imac although the app is working fine on Ipad and Iphone. I've rebooted countless times reinstalled app, rebooted NAS drive and still same problem

    I'm getting this every few minutes when I try and play a track from an album while music is playing from the playlist. I'm running Windows 11 with a decent spec PC - streaming my FLACs from the PC. Only really noticed this today.

    Just reverted to 3.18.2

    I've been asked to reinstall, rebuild the index, reindex my music collection. No luck. Everything works from my iphone. One weird thing is that the program creates a new user when I re-install called BlueOS.

     

    I wish I could find 3.18.2. If you have it, please email howard.zinman@gmail.com. I'm skipping the updates from now on! lol.

    The same problem as mentioned above - installed the latest update last night and endless "Just a Moment". Tried to re-install the latest version - same results.  Re-installed the previous version 3.18.2 and now everything works.  Really need to figure this problem out and send out an update that will work.  I'm with the others - until this is figured out - no more updates for me!

    No issues, Windows 10 Pro (21H2)

    Edit:
    I stand corrected. I am able to replicate the issue if I go to;
    Library - Album - "any album", and "jump fast" between albums.

    I am having the same issue with the new version on Windows 10.  As soon as you click on an album, it spins "Just a moment" forever.  My Android phone version is still working, but I prefer my Windows laptop for controlling my Node 2i.  How can I get a copy of the previous working version?

    Big thanks to Simon Walshe. He sent me the file a few days ago. I prefer the PC controller because I spend too much time on my phone as it is. :)

    Same issue, 3.18.3 unusable.  Reinstalled 3.18.0 and it's up and running again.  (Mac mini, macOS 12.0.1)

    Thank you everyone for your patience. We have been able to replicate the issue here in our Quality Assurance Lab and seems to be caused by a rapid attempt to access the Local Library while the App is still loading.

    Our QA team has passed their findings to our Engineering Team who is investigating solutions now. 

    This is only affecting the BluOS App for Windows and macOS. Until we are able to publish a release and update, we suggest you use the BluOS App for Android or for iPad/iPhone as neither versions of this App are affected.
