RC1 remote stopped working on my powernode

Hi.... This happened recently... a few notes

1) the Powernode firmware is up to date

2) The light is lighting up when I use the remote, but the light on the powernode is not flickering (sign of reciveving) 

3) I reset the RC1 to make sure it was on Ch 0 (hold power and 10)

4) in my Powernode setting the remote is on and set to ch 0

5) my apple TV remove works for volume (previously programmed) 

 

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot from here?

  new batteries work!ed!

  just a note... when the battery was low the red light was flashing... now with the new batteries the red light is solid.
