Amazon Music HD - there is now a streamer that casts correct sample rates direct from Amazon Music app
BeantwortetHi Support,
There is now a product that has proper sample rate casting from Amazon native app to their streamer which uses 'LinkPlay' module. It is currently in beta with bugs but proper sample rate reaches the streamer majority of the time.

Is this casting ability something Bluesound Nodes could do?
It seems like the best path forward is bypassing the very limited Amazon API seems the best way forward.
I believe the LinkPlay modules some Alexa casting service.
Possible with Bluesoud Nodes?

We have no plans at this time but your feedback has been passed along to our Product Development team.
That being said, the API is provided to us and other third-party devices by Amazon (or other Music Services). This very much also applies to end-point solutions such as Spotify, AirPlay or TIDAL Connect. Let Amazon know you want a better experience.

Thanks Tony.
If we can cast straight from Amazon app to Node, we don't have to worry about 3rd party API.
I think this is what Amazon will want going forward.
Look at Spotify Connect. They scrapped 3rd party UI.

We now see proof of bit perfect 'casting' from the Amazon app.
No cables between phone and the streamer.
And DAC shows correct incoming sample rate.
This is simply using the official Amazon Music app, no 3rd party API limitations
This is what we need with Bluesound Node ASAP!
It is still in beta testing with some bugs naturally.
