HDMI
BeantwortetI have tried everything to get my node to talk to the audio only output of my sony x800 BD spinner with no luck! when they to are connected the node can see the player because the HDMI portion of the app loads but it just spins endlessly
I have cycled through all the settings PCM out ect
when connected to my marantz receiver in the same manor "audio only out" it works a treat

Note that TVs will specify which HDMI port is the ARC out port. This is because the HDMI ARC (and eARC) standard requires a specialised HDMI ARC out port. You cannot connect just any HDMI device. If you want to listen to your BluRay player via HDMI, you will need an ARC out port. The easiest and fastest way to do this is plug the BluRay Player into your TV and your tv ARC out to the NODE ARC in

Even though the HDMI port is a dedicated audio only port?

I want to use my Bluray player as a transport for cd's Sacd's and DVD audio disks. If i run through my my TV first will i get the best quality possible? My BD player only has a coax out so i cant connect it anyother way as my node doesnt have coax in

Yes, you should get a full pass-through - check your TV settings. A more practical solution for you may be a COAX SPDIF to 3.5mm cable. Your authorised Bluesound Dealer can help you with this. You can also purchase online from most sources. This cable will be about $20US for a quality cable.
Connect the COAX end to your Blu-Ray Player and the 3.5mm end to the NODE Digital In.

That doesn't work. £20 wasted.
