Why are some albums not indexing?
BeantwortetHi, I'm new here. I have a Node 3 and my music is on my Macbook's SSD.
I have about 13 albums that stubbornly refuse to be indexed. I tried re-indexing a couple of times and I just rebuilt my index. They still won't show up in my library. They're all albums I bought on Bandcamp, but other albums I bought there work perfectly fine. And they're all in FLAC. BTW, I also have a SONOS speaker in my office and it managed to index those albums correctly. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sur can do! Here was the problem:
Q. Are you able to use Library > Folder view and check the directory itself where the music is to verify if the music exists?R. Yes, they are there all right. But when I try to open the folder for individual albums I get the following error message: « Error reading folder: permission denied »And here was the solution:That means you don't have permissions to read that specific folder.
On Mac... some lower level folders may have the wrong security permission.
An easy way to solve this is to reset all sub-directories from the parent directory. Select the folder where the Music is stored and press Command-I to Get Info. Click on the padlock in the bottom right/left corner of the Folder Info window to authenticate as an Administrator and enter your User ID and Password for the Mac.
In the Sharing & Permissions section, ensure either Everyone or the specific user you Bluesound Player is using to log in has Read Only or Read & Write privileges to the folder. Click the Gear Icon at the bottom of the window and click on Apply to enclosed items... from the pop up menu.
This will reset the permissions on all files and sub-directories in your folder to be the same as this.
This should help with the permissions issue, thus allowing these files to be found, accessed and playable.
Remember to Rebuild Index(Under Help > Diagnostics) and wait 30 minutes after making the above change before trying out the Library view via the BluOS app(once you start the Rebuild Index, you can close the app and wait).0 -
