    Hi John

Please contact your TV Manufacturer... whatever is happening here is not caused by the NODE or BluOS.

This should not be the fault of television. The pictogram should be when muted and not recorded at full volume.

It is not possible for a Bluesound Player to create iconography (correctly or incorrectly) on your TV screen - If your TV is reporting it is being muted, and it is not, it is best to contact the TV Manufacturer or the recording device. The Bluesound NODE is only receiving Audio and is not transmitting any information other than a possible acknowledgement.

    Hi!
There is something on the node that confuses my tv when Arc.
I have to disable output level fixed in global audio settings for the mute icon to disappear.
Don’t know if it’s a bug or not and on which side (node or tv)

I have the same behavior with my LG CX over eARC. When the output is set to fixed the TV displays the muted logo. The output is however not muted, works as expected.

I can get out of this state in two ways:

    1) by toggling the "output level fixed" off in BluOS config

    2) by pressing volume +/- on my TV's remote control. This oddly removes the muted logo.

There's some strange state being interpreted by the TV's eARC when enabling the output level fixed setting in BluOS. Additionally, if I turn off and on my bluesound node, the blue LED keeps flashing, as if it were interpreting being muted. Toggling the "output level fixed" from the BluOS app also resolves the flashing blue LED. Then I have the muted logo on my TV, until I hit volume up or down on my TV remote.

If you need anything else tested, or debugged, I can assist. eARC was the main purpose for my puchase of the Node Gen3 (N130).

I'm running a windows 11 desktop and using a 100 foot certified HDMI 2.1 fiber optic cable to my office. That cable is connected to my LG OLED CX and I have HDMI 2 (eARC output port) connected to the Node 3. I'm not sure if the HDMI cable from HDMI 2 to the node is certified HDMI 2.1 / eARC. I'll purchase an officially certified one to test against and see if it makes any difference.

Up and down volume button does not fix it in my case
Unfortunately disabling the fixed volume introduces issues in Apple Music volume on iOS.

I have the exact same issue with my LG TV. Using eArc the blue led flashes and sometimes I need to reboot the node to regain input control, when using fixed output the mute icon appears on the TV screen.

I would suspect the hdmi cable if you are loosing sync.

I don't loose sync, my issue is the same as Sean, have tried with multiple cables.

It's an old thread but I still have the issue that eARC with fixed output is not working - it will always mute the TV. I am not even able to unmute with any of the proposed work arounds.
So far I have not seen a concrete answer on any platform or thread whether eArc with fixed output should be possible at all. Does any of you have found an answer?
    Thanks, Stefan
