Magnepan LRS or .7 with powernode 2021

Hello all, I am looking at a simple secondary system using the powernode 2021 a pair of subs crossed over using high and low pass filters at 80-100hz or so and either the magnepan .7 or LRS. My question is... given the magnepans consistent 4 ohm load would the powernode be able to drive this set up? I am unable to find a 4 ohm rating for the powernode 2021 hence my inquiry.

  Hi Zac

  Simple math;

  • 2 x 80 @ 8 ohms
  • 2 x 80 x 8 = 1280
  • 1280 / 4 = 320
  • 320 / 2 = About 160 W per channel at 4 Ohms
