Node N130 - USB output with Tidal Connect MQA
BeantwortetHi Tony Is Tidal Connect MQA in "beta" with N130's recent USB audio output update? Or its stable with no know issues?
Specifically with N130 doing 1st MQA unfolding via USB output

Hi Tony
I had already read that. It only covers Roon and MQA, not my question with Tidal Connect and first MQA unfold.
Can someone at Bluesound please read my question and help?
Will the N130 do the first unfold with Tidal Connect and output the first unfold over USB?
Just like optical and digital coax output works...

Hi Tony
This again doesn't answer my query.
My question isn't about the rendering that article mentions.
All Nodes currently perform 1st unfold (MQA Core Decode) and output up to 96kHz via digital outputs.
I am asking if this is the same with N130's USB output with Tidal Connect

Hi Tony, the article you link says "If you connect an external DAC to NODE or VAULT, the maximum output is 24 bit / 96 kHz and MQA processing does not happen in the DAC."
Since USB output is new to N130 I wanted clarification if the same above holds with USB output when using Tidal Connect, connecting a non-MQA DAC.
Is 1st MQA unfold (MQA Core Decode) via N130 USB output still in beta (like Roon with MQA) or is that fully functional?
Hope this makes my query a bit clear.

Hi Bluey
Hi Bluey, the first article speaks of how to connect a USB DAC - the second article explains how MQA External DACs work - there is no limitation to USB connections to external DACs compared to COAX or Digital Output DACs except where mentioned in the first article.
In short - if you want to enjoy MQA using a USB output DAC, the answer is No - it's not in Beta and fully supported.
