Audio Sync via TV Optical Output to Node2i?
BeantwortetI am wondering if Bluesound has the same problem we've seen with competing solutions such as HEOS and SONOS when it comes to audio delays due to buffering when not used in conjunction with a sound bar product.
Specifically I need to verify if I connect a TV toslink connection to a Node2 or Powernode 2 is if there is buffering that occurs that results in an audio delay between what's on TV and the sound.
With some other products we've used, we leanred (the hard way), the only way to avoid this buffering problem is to use one of their sound bar products.
I have a project we are looking to specify that is not suitable for sound bars, we need to use in-ceiling and landscape-mounted speakers which need to play TV sound. Need to make sure this audio sync delay problem does not exist.

Hi Chad
Correct - Bluesound Players do not support any processing bypass (sometimes called Home Theatre ByPass or Analogue ByPass). By nature, there will be 50ms in audio delay - this is within DOLBY's certified margin of error and among the lowest in the industry for systems that do not support bypass.
