Surround with external amp and two Flex 2i
BeantwortetI have been a Bluesound user for many years and have a 1st-gen Bluesound Node as well as two Bluesound Flex 2i.
I would like to expand my stereo system to a home cinema.
Is the following system possible to get a 4.0 surround system?
- Front: New Node (connected to TV via eARC) > external amplifier > 2x passive speakers
- Rear: 2x Pulse Flex 2i
Do you have any other suggestions if this setup is not possible?
Best regards

Thank you for your answer. So basically the only option I currently have is to buy a Powernode 2i and connect it to my external amplifier via its headphone jack?
Are there any intensions to implement the dolby feature to the new Node?

The Powernode and headphone output will most likely work, but using the Powernode amplifier would probably be a better option.

The Powernode for sure is a great amplifier but most probably a little underpowered for my speakers. Since I already have the Bluesound module included in my external amp (NAD C 399), there is no additional need for the Powernode except as a source and controller for the dolby surround. I will try to get one of those as a test device from my local partner to test it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone here. As I said, I have been a happy Bluesound customer for over 8 years. I tested several amplifiers to match my speakers when I made my purchase. However, the Powernode was not mentioned. Comparably powerful amplifiers like the Powernode were not recommended (e.g. NAD M10v2), although they would have contained the desired dolby surround feature.
