Using the mediaserver feature in your Fritzbox will not work.
You will have to figure out how, or if you can connect to the internal storage.

If you look in Windows Explorer and network, is the share visible there? If so, you will find your share/sharename there.

    Thank you for fast response

The path above is that, shown in win explorer - Network (paste & copy)

    \\fritz.box\FRITZ.NAS\ST6000VN-001-2BB186-01\Musik\CD\Div Interpreten

The NAS Storage can be accessed by Win Explorer, VLC Player win + android

Name and PW i tried for each Fritzbox user

    Could you try this if:
    \\fritz.box\FRITZ.NAS\ST6000VN-001-2BB186-01\

failed because it's not finding the share, or because of wrong credentials.

if you copy/paste this (\\fritz.box\FRITZ.NAS\ST6000VN-001-2BB186-01\) in windows explorer address bar, what happens then?

    @Bjorn

The folder get opened, full access

@ Seppi Evans .. thank you for response ..iam really frustrated

    \\fritz.nas ... \fritz.nas ... \\fritz.nas

URL wie folgt eingeben (like URL wrong style)

    Mounting share failed (like before)

    \\FRITZ.NAS\fritz.nas\ with admin user+PW

Is it a better way to  install an raspy with kodi as NAS ?

@seppi Thanks so much. This was driving me nuts - tried every single combination to no avail. You saved my day!

I have the same problem but the way Seppi did it doesn't work.

I have plugged a USB stick as NAS into my Fritzbox 6591, set a new user and password.
But when entering the path the way Seppi did, I cant get the connection.
I tried several ways, also the complete path to the folder where the music files are, but cant get connecetd.
    What am I doing wrong?

Yes, the NAS function is turned on.

I also created a new user with new user password.
But maybe the path ist set wrong? I tried several ways, to point directly to the specific music folder on the USB stick and also just \\FRITZ.NAS\fritz.nas\. Also tried this with the IP instead of the name.
    Nothing works. :(

Do you set the path directly to the folder where your music files are or just to the NAS?

    Doesn't work.

I just tried to point via local shares to a folder directly to my PC. That works.
But using network shares, entering the path you told me or directly to the stick doesn't work.

Sorry, don't know how to connect my PC. What user do I need to enter?
Tried but entering my Windows username and password it doesn't work.

To connect my PC I type like this: \
    \Computername\C:\folder

Then enter as user the user I created at the Fritzbox (who has only access to all storage connected to the Fritzbox)
    Then the password.

    Doesn't work.

    Thank you, Seppi Evans.

    \\192.168.178.1\fritz.nas

works beautifully! (after making sure all Fritz!Box settings are correct)

    Best wishes
