As a Spotify Connect Premier Partner, we have been working very closely with them and will meet their needs when ready.

Spotify is promising for ten months to introduce high quality product. Still not there.
The current max quality is lossy AAC 256kbit/s

Unfortunately it appears they have tabled their HiFi rollout. Check to see if your cell phone provider has an Apple Music partnership or any of your other subscriptions offer a discount to an already rolled out HiFi platform
