MY router is a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 with FreshTomato Firmware.

All Speakers a cabled and haver static IPs

NAS is  Netgear Readynas 214 populated with 4 x WD RED drives and both ports are assigned static IPs

As stated, the issue arises almost every time a Hi-Res track plays. In fact as I'm writing this, the speaker has dropped of whilst playing Hurricane (HR) by Bob Dylan, it's just stopped for the third time on the same Track and this time it's not coming back, so I'll have to reboot it.

Interestingly, the speaker is still visible through a web browser, but had gone from the app. Had to use the web interface to reboot it.

I will see if I can find it and come back to you in a couple of days - find it strange that all speakers will play CD quality flac all day

I have tried a different router - same result

I have purchased a different brand of speaker, and it works without any issues, seems that other comments where bluesound just blame the network is true. Cant believe that I have £2k worth of speakers that don't work as they should

it doesn't alter the fact that even with a different router, I still have the same issue with the Bluesound speakers when playing Hi Res tracks in particular.

All we all want, is.... to be able to listen to the music of our choice without constant dropouts.

Without doubt, Bluesound speakers sound the best and I'd really like a solution to this issue

Well the good news is I've found a solution!

I tried a different router, didn't make any difference so...

I bought a different brand of speaker, this worked OK and although it plays the HR tracks, I don't believe they are played as HR - the sound quality is nowhere near that of the Bluesound.

My issue only occurred when playing HR tracks or when the playlist switched from CD to HR tracks

So, I added a new NAS with SSD drives, this has sorted the problem, now all my tracks play without any issues, I can now get the multiroom to work too.

Thanks to Bluesound for analysing my logs and helping to identify the issue even though they couldn't offer a final solution

It's cost me to add the NAS but it's well worth it to have all my music playing the way I want it.

No matter what you may read or hear about Hi-Res - especially from Sonos -  Bluesound definitely make HR tracks sound awesome.

I hope this helps anyone experiencing similar or the same problem.
