I noticed that there is a new firmware for my 2021 Node, any idea what has changed?

  This update is for the node 2021 to activate usb output, that's it.

  It works as it should, it took six months but it's here now.

  so from PC to Node via USB should work ? USB A to USB A ?

  Nice to have;

  Use hw: instead of plughw: for USB output

  Have the ability to enable 'fixed' 100% volume via USB output ie bypass volume control

  As far as I see in audio settings I can set the volume range which seems useless as it is then fixed anyway when using usb output

  Oh.. I cannot fix the volume when using usb…
  What is the reason for that?

  not sure if the current settings are plughw or hw...

  Anyhow, plughw does sample rate conversions etc while hw does not.....hw is bitperfect.

  Also changing volume in the digital domain is not preferred either.
