    Hi Paul

    We can't help you with the volume buttons on the iPhone - this violates Apple's requirements for usage of them - we can only use them in AirPlay because the phone itself is emitting audio - those buttons are strictly for the iPhone or iPad's volume.

    20% volume is the default volume for a Bluesound or BluOS Player when powered on? Are you by chance removing power from the Player or putting it in Vacation Mode? If not, please select Help, Send Support Request in the App so we may see if your Player is rebooting.

    If you are putting it in Vacation Mode regularly - we don't recommend that - it is not designed as an ON/OFF switch. Your Players are designed to be always on and always ready.

    I have mentioned this in the past a few times. Occurs on iphone 11 pro, ipad pro. It was never fixed. The (usual) reply was that it was my router or network. A laugh because my network works flawless. Just to make sure I followed the mentioned resolution steps, and of course that did not resolve the issue. I stopped mentioning it because it is not accepted that its the app itself.

    Well, that is disappointing. I've come to expect better from Lenbrook/BlueSound.

    This behavior does not occur on my Android, Windows, or Fire BluOS apps.

    At least I can be reasonably sure it isn't just me more.

    It has a problem with ios and ipad os for sure. My NAD is always on, never in standby, because that comes indeed with other problems too. @Paul : good luck with solving your problems

    This issue is not an AirPlay related issue. It has nothing to do with using the volume buttons on the iPhone. This is an issue with the volume slider in the BluOS app and it’s connection to the Bluesound product. In my case a Node 2i.

    The issue is that the volume slider in the BluOS app moves to approximately the 20% position when you return to the app while music is playing. The volume can actually be at 50 or 80% or whatever you are listening at when you set it. When you return to the app the slider will be at 20% with the volume still at the higher level you were listening at. Touch the + or - and the slider will jump and resync with the Node2i actual volume. This is not correct or expected behavior. The app should always remain synced with the player as does the progress bar showing where you are in the song. The circular volume indicator on the right syncs properly and will scroll to the current actual volume. Once you make a volume change it will jump to and match the 20% position of the slider and track with the slider. I am observing this behavior on the iPhone and not on the iPad. Seems like a software update could address this.

    Experiencing the same problem with iPhone 12 mini and a brand new Bluesound Node N130. Most recent software on all devices. My volume jumps to around 70% when reopening the volume ‘screen’. At that point, audio is still playing at the current setting, but when changing the volume, it jumps to the 70%. Doesn’t happen if I open the volume screen right after switching presets (within a second or so). An update with the problem solves would be greatly appreciated.

    I recently bought the NAD C658. I also have the same issue on my iPhone. To reproduce:

    - Open the BlueOS app and play a song.
    - Click the volume icon in the lower right corner. The circle with a speaker icon in the center.
    - The volume slider will show and is always set to the same volume level.
    - Set the volume slider lower.
    - Close the volume control by clicking on the close icon in the bottom right. The circle with the X icon in the center.
    - Open the volume control again by clicking the volume icon in the lower right corner. The circle with a speaker icon in the center.

    At this point the volume slider is back at it initial default value, which is higher than thelower volume that has just been set. The BlueOS app has not been closed!

    - Now change the volume with the slider, the volume output now jumps from the previously set low volume back to the initial higer volume.

    This should not be an issue to solve for the BlueOS team. Other apps like Spotify, Tidal, Sonos, etc do not have this issue. The NAD C658 is not cheap. And as a customer I expect that this annoying issue thing will be fixed a.s.a.p.

    I hope BlueOS can see that from an end user prespective a response like "We can't help you with the volume buttons on the iPhone - this violates Apple's requirements for usage of them - we can only use them in AirPlay because the phone itself is emitting audio - those buttons are strictly for the iPhone or iPad's volume." is hard to believe and not acceptable.

    Totally agree with you Junket. Alas BlueOS wont, cant solve this behavior. They're either not interested in us as customers or are simply not able to solve it. And indeed, this is not seen in other apps. It drives me mad for over 3 years now.
