Pulse + IR Learning with new (2021) Sony tv remote

I have tried IR learning with a new Sony (2021 Model X90J) tv remote and it will not recognize the volume =+,- or mute functions.

Any suggestions.

  I had a feeling that was the case, but it programmed to my AT&T Uverse console, so I figured I might have been able to use it with the Pulse+ soundbar.  Maybe one day there will be a work around for this.

  Check your SONY TV Documentation on how to enable it to emulate IR commands and enable a SOUNDBAR as the audio source (Phillips will work if we are not listed in their menu). Then go ahead and try programming again.

  OR - just use the HDMI connection to your SOUNDBAR+ and ensure CEC is enabled on your SONY TV.

  I just purchased the same Sony TV, and was told by Sony that the only way the TV remote will operate sounders etc is through ARC HDMI.
