CRACKING NOISE / POPPING NOISE

Configuration: Node 2i streaming music via BluOs App to active speakers (Dynaudio Xeo 20) either through optical or RCA cable. Speakers are at fixed volume, volume set by BluOs App.

The cracking sound appears eratically but systematically, every 10 or 20 min, at any sound level. Experienced it in the US where I bought the sound system. Experiencing it now in France where I moved back. Appears either when Node 2i streams over wifi or ethernet. Typically sounds like jaw or joint popping.

Any other source connected to the speakers does not exhibit the popping noise. Seems specific to Node 2i.

  Please remove and reset all connectors from your NODE to your DAC.

  I have same problem on my pulse soundbar. Bluensound tram told me it seems to be an problem on hardware. So I contacted authorize dealer in thailand. They ask me around $150 for fix this problem. So, I just keeping soundbar without using. Becoz of too expensive to fix the problem.
