    Hi Peter

I am sorry to hear this. Please select Help, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so we may take a closer look at the event log and make a recommendation for you.

Hi Tony, thank you for your reply. I did already send in a support request via the app, though in Danish language. So I don't know if you can read it? Anyway, perhaps I gave up too early, but I have returned the Node to Hifiklubben. After experiencing 2 Nodes with identical problems, I reasoned that there must be a batch of devices with hardware issues that quality control did not catch. So I had no hope that exchanging yet another device would give another result. Especially with the crackling noise I would very much doubt it could be solved via firmware changes. If I get reason to believe that the problem has been solved hardware-wise, I would buy a new one:-)

I am getting a crackling with my new NODE too (email and logs sent) but it seems to have something to do with the Roon/NODE connection because I don’t get the crackling with Tidal through the BluOS app.

I have the same issue... I am NOT using an external DAC!!
I have also sent a support request without any feedback.

    EDIT1:
    I'm using BlueOS 3.16.1

    1. Switching between songs of different quality (from Tidal) I get the popp
        Songs played:
Young Dad with Hoffmaestro (MQA quality)
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)
    2. Switching between some songs (played using TIDAL) and internet radio I get the popp.
        Songs/Radion played:
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)
Sveriges Radio P3 using TuneIn (unknown quality)
    3. Using TIDAL and Spotify switching between them I get the popp.
Not always an issue and I can not quite understand when I get it.
But it seems as if I get it when I play Spotify and switch over to TIDAL no matter the quality of the song.
    4. Switching between music (from Spotify) and internet radio I get the popp.
    5. The popp issue still occurs if sound is muted.
        Switching between songs in TIDAL:
Young Dad with Hoffmaestro (MQA quality)
        90-talet with Wahl (CD quality)

I have the same crackling sound with my new Node 130 using it standalone without external DAC. I have this crackling sound when changing tracks at Tidal , changing to TuneIn, changing to my own music library on my Synology, changing to HDMI to my TV and also optical in.

Also changing tracks within these sources, within Tidal playlists for example, or changing radio stations. SO almost everytime.

This is very annoying and doesn't match the MQA, Hi-Res expectations at all. I bought mine via Amazon and I have a refund due date as of 31 January. In case there is no FW update from Bluesound I will definetly return this item.  So please do something so we can get rid of this.

I had similar problems several years ago with my UPNP player from Yamaha and finally they could solve it with an update.

    Hi Emre

In the audio settings of your NODE N130, please disable Audio Clock Trim. If after turning this off, if the problem persists, please select Help, Send Support Request in the app so our Support Crew can get a copy of the log.

    Hi Tony.

unfortunately after several email exchange with your support the crackling sound problem still exists on my Node 130. We tried many things but with no success.

So I still play Tidal playlists and change radio stations on TuneIn with that annoying crackling sound at every change of title.

I think you should really invest some effort to solve this, cause many of us using this product have this problem and it limits our joy of high end music everytime we listen to music and changing song tracks.

Meanwhile I have returned my N130 back to seller and got a new one.

The cracking sound? It is still there, same problem!!

I found out that this crackling sound occurs when 'output level fixed' is turned off. Means when sound control is managed by the N130 it makes this crackling sound.

I am disappointed about this community talk here on the board and the support crew? why? because in my opinion BluOS is totally aware of this issue but rather then openly discuss it they prefer to give you endless ideas how to change this and that. This is poor customer support policy .

Same problem here. Unable to use digital out from Node to Peachtree Nova 500. Tried both Coax and optical Had to use RCA, very dissatisfied.

Same problem here. Latest Node, Tidal HiFi, coax and optical into Rega amp with its own DAC. I'm planning to return the unit to the retailer and switch brands unless someone has worked out a fix?

    Hi Antony

Your older model DAC likely has problems with more up-to-date audio clocks. Please see my comment from a year ago; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4409910954903/comments/4415444215959

It's a brand new model amp. Rega Elex mk 4 ... "The DAC is based closely on the hugely successful Rega DAC-R circuit. The galvanically/optically isolated digital inputs utilise a Wolfson S/PDIF receiver IC to provide exceptional detail and clarity from any connected source. Output is provided by a Wolfson DAC and Rega designed discrete line-driver circuit."
