TV-sound in second speaker
BeantwortetHi,
I have a Bluesound Pulse Soundbar connected to my TV via HDMI. Now I'm thinking about getting a BlueSound Flex 2i for the kitchen. Would it be possible to have the TV sound played both on the soundbar and the flex speaker?
I've read about the Stereo Surround feature but haven't been able to understand if it would work with only one speaker in a second room or if there are other options to achieve what I'm looking for.
Thanks, Emil

Bluesound = Wireless Multi-room, so adding anothe Bluesound player to your Sondbar will work.

Thanks for your reply.
Could you maybe elaborate on which settings and setup you use to achieve what I was asking for. Please note that it's sound that I input via HDMI to the soundbar that I want to pass on to one or more speakers in different rooms.
Thanks again

When you have more than one "player", there will be a + sign behind the players.
If grouped the + will become - for ungrouping.
Volume can be adjusted for all players in the group or individually.
You can also create "fixed groups". More to read here: https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000220107-Creating-Fixed-Groups0 -
Thanks once more :-)
One followup question - Have you tried yourself or can confirm that fixed groups works with an input signal on HDMI on the soundbar that you want to pass on to other speakers? I was under the impression that fixed groups weren't applicable for that use case.
If you have any links that confirms that it works it would be very much appreciated as I haven't been able to find any documentation that confirms it myself.

I can confirm that grouping works well with Soundbar and other players with all input sources.
No link needed, multi-room is multi-room ;-)0 -
Thanks for that clarification Bjørn!
Do I understand it correctly that the tag "official comment" means that this is an official confirmation from BlueSound that my intended setup works (just to be sure before I go ahead and make my additional purchase)?

You do understand it correctly.

Works for hdmi arc on nad m10 to other bluesound players but not from nad t777v3 (with the bluos expansion kit) to other bluesound players, so be aware.

Thanks for the update!

Just to add to KriHad's comment: playing from inputs connected to T777v3 (such as HDMI input) annd then grouping to another player will not pass the input audio. Alternatively, playing BluOS from the T777 and grouping to other players will share, and playing an HDMI input from the SOUNDBAR grouped with the T777 will share the audio.
Basically, BluOS-enabled NAD products cannot share audio via inputs (such as HDMI) to grouped players -- whereas BluOS Ready products and Bluesound products, such as the NAD M10 or the Bluesound SOUNDBAR, do not have this limitation.

You won’t be able to create a home theatre group with only 2 devices. So, you won’t get a rear surround sound output from the flex. You will get the same sound from both speakers if they are grouped together.

Thanks Sam R. I was unaware of the BluOS enabled vs BluOS ready hdmi sharing distinction.
