Audio Clock Trim
BeantwortetHello. I have the newest version of the Bluesound Node. I'm not seeing Audio Clock Trim in the audio settings. Did it get moved or is it just not in the newer Bluesound Node? Thank you

I need this function too. Like a resync-delay in roon.

Has nothing to do with the internal DAC, I believe it's a snyc feature for external DACs?

That was my assumption as well...that it's to help with an external dac. I am using the Topping D70s and even though I don't currently have any issues I would like to know if I ever switch DACs that I'm covered.

Audio Clock Trim has something to do with the internal DAC in Node2i. So even without using external DAC.

So as some of us obviously own "some external DACs with a specific chipsets" it seems that we need exactly this function again.

That setting targeted a specific stuttering issue that appeared with a specific group of external DACs used with the NODE 2/2i and VAULT 2/2i. Those same DACs used with the new NODE do not have stuttering issues, and so Audio Clock Trim is not needed on it.
Note that the Gen 1 NODE and VAULT also do not have the Audio Clock Trim setting for the same reason.

Understood. Thanks Sam R. So, whatever the issue was using some external dacs...that issue has been fixed on the generation 3 Node...so that option in the Bluesound App to disable is longer there because it is no longer revelant. I assume owners of the Node 2i will still see the option to disable. I appreciate all the responses. :)

@Sam R. But there are still DACs like e.g. the Denfrips Ares II that would need this function to work properly with the n130. The Audio Clock Trim function was ment to be switched on or off dependent on what was needed with the external DAC. Why didn‘t you leave this function available but off by default?

I have an Ares II too (with an n130), so I'm curious about this function. Is it true that this DAC requires audio clock trim but there's no option for it in the BluOS settings for the new NODE?

I published a video showing the issue: https://youtu.be/0QuyX709Azg

Well that video is discouraging. I have another node and Denafrip ares 2 sitting in their boxes...just waiting for my shelves to put them on. If these two have issues working togther I'm going to lose my freaking mind. I put a lot of work in putting together a little system for my bedroom. Wtf

I just go the new NODE and this option is present there. Don't know if it was recently added but it is definitely not missing...

They brought it back with the DEC‘21 update.

Yes, I thought so. I installed it today and it immediately got FW upgrade.
I have it hooked up to Arcam SA30 using the coaxial. Don't see any effect enabling/disabling this option.
One question though, does on/off trigger the effect immediately or it needs a restart?

This was a welcome addition last month and it fixed the issues I had with my Denafrips DAC. Multiroom syncing is flawless now. Thank you.

Hello, I looked BlueSond Node (130)
I will be frank.
Not quite surprised, but I admit the idea that I don't know how to use 100%
OK, I bought this network streamer only to exit audio USB to connect an external DAC , (Dragonfly Cobalt)
As for the connection: really everything works and playing music is very clean and warm, but after a few minutes I start to hear crackles and rustling from the right dynamics.
This is especially noticeable when listening to MQA
Now about how everything is connected:
Edifier S360DB.
Bluesond.
Dragonfly Cobalt.
SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8Please if you have a solution to this problem write how to solve it.
Thank you and all the best.

I have a NODE N130, and Aeris II DAC, both only a few weeks old and both came with their latest firmware's. They are connected together with high a quality USB cable. I also have a CD transport connected to the Aeris II with COAX.
I have not noticed any abnormal noises at all. I currently have "Audio Clock Trim" Off. Should I turn it On? Just to be on the safe side? In the past I've always left options Off if I can't hear a difference.
Thanks,

Hi. I don’t exactly understand but my Node ic connected via a Digital Cable ( Coax) to an external DAC. Immediately after connecting, I heard small clicking , Thought it the cable , but when disabling Auto Clock Trim , it’s better. Thank you for that!!!!
