Bluesound Node (new) standby issue
BeantwortetI just recently purchased a Node (latest gen) and for whatever reason this device does not go into standby mode after 15 minutes or hours for that matter. I have the Node hardwired ethernet to my router. Both the coaxial and toslink outputs still have active signal even while no music or BluOS app are active. I have a Topping E30 DAC connected to the coaxial output and then to my pre-amp, and a FiiO K5 Pro to the toslink output just as a headphone amp. Both are still getting signal when the Node is supposed to be in standby. Checked the toslink cable and there is light output all the time. Switched both toslink and coaxial cables as well. I don't believe there is a standby mode in this unit or the Node 2i as indicated in multiple posts by others. Please let me know what options there might be to resolve this...

Hi Mike
The Buesound NODE will go into stand-by mode. Please consult your DAC manufacturer as to why it is not shutting down the DAC when a stand-by signal is sent. Also, consider using a 12v mono trigger cable.

It looks like this rather annoying feature has been carried forward from previous node models. Whilst there is indeed a low power standby mode of sorts which kicks in after 15 minutes of inactivity this has no effect on the status of digital outputs which continue to remain 'live' . Unfortunately, the only way to effectively mute the digital outputs is to invoke 'vacation mode'.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the quick response. The issue is with the DAC as it is powered separately by USB and detects that 5v signal keeping it on, my error. Thankfully it has a remote which allows me to put it in standby mode quite easily. I am thoroughly enjoying the Bluesound Node and look forward to the continued support and future updates.
