Node 2i Mono mode?

I’ve been into the BlueOS setting on my iOS device and there is audio settings for stereo, left, right, and mono. I’ve selected all of these with nothing happening. Should I also have to make adjustments in my preamp to get this feature functioning? I’m basically trying to get it into MONO mode.

  In addition - when changing the Output Mode, you have to play a new song (hit Next) and the change will apply to this next song. And also, this setting cannot affect MQA songs as per MQA requirement

  I selected left, right, stereo and even mono and then skipped to another track and there’s no change at all in the audio.
