Vault 2i, steady red light = bad power supply

Out of nowhere, my vault started showing steady red light, nothing working, was not in the middle of an upgrade, etc, I rebooted, hard reboot (disconnected power), contacted tech support, they had me do this and that and came back with the power supply is shot = pretty much useless vault.  6 years old.  I'm wondering if there was a spike/brown-out when I wasn't home and didn't notice the red light until later in the evening.  But I have all my hi-fi gear plugged into a Panamax M5300 power conditioner.  I've never had anything blown in the time I've had that - or any other type of power conditioner/surge protectors.

Anyone else experience this kind of joy?  I'm not very happy.
