Using an SSD to play my files

Just got the Nano the other day and bought a 2 TB SSD drive for my music files. I normally keep my files organized by group/ artist and in that folder are their albums. When I hooked up the SSD it recognized most of my files however they were all over the place, nothing was organized. I thought for sure they would at least all be in some sort of order by band or artist. Not even close. Is there a way to organize my music rather than spending 10 minutes trying to find a particular album I wanna listen to?

The metadata in the music files are essential for the correct indexing of your files. Did you verify if the data fields show the correct values?

How are you browsing your music, in folder view it will be as stored on the hard drive. BluOS should have indexed your music and simply looking at Albums (for example) would show them in alphabetical order. Does this not happen for your?

Alain, Hadn’t even considered such a basic thing to be missing 😂
There are tools available to check, I use one called Bliss as it works on many platforms but there are many others available.
